Hi There,
I've decided on about 3 or 4 schools that I'd like to apply to and am not sure how i should structure the timing of my applications.
I'm writing my GMAT in the 3rd week of Sept and am working hopefully towards ~700. I have an 80%/100% GPA from a Canadian school. For the past three years i've worked in Management Consulting with good experience and some good stories.
Given that i'm focused 100% on the GMAT right now, I'll only have 1-2 weeks before the 1st round of application deadlines. I can spend 100% of my time during those two weeks putting together my applications.
Should I try and get my applications out to my top 2 choices in the 1st round, and then my next 3 schools in the 2nd? OR - should I just apply to all 5 in the 2nd round. Will 2 weeks (1week per application) give me enough time to put together the amazing application I need? Also, I haven't been able to connect with the folks that I'd like to get references from. I wont be able to reach one person in particular until the 2nd week of sept. I don't know if 2 weeks is enough notice to get a killer reference.
I've heard that its easier to get in on the 1st round? Is this true?
Appreciate any help and advice you can give.
Thanks!
