Hello!
I'm worried about how my GPA will come across to admissions. I go to BU SMG and I currently have a 3.62 GPA. How will grad school admissions look at this; should I provide some context? Grade deflation is a big problem at BU, which leaves BU students with generally lower GPAs. The average management GPA at BU is about a 2.8. I think this is lower than most schools. Are grad admissions going to weigh my 3.62 from BU the same as they would a 3.62 from another school? BU doesn't have anything like contextual transcripts with class rank or anything (because that would make sense). Is there an opportunity to provide context in my grad school application? If so, how would I do this. Or do you think the grad schools are already familiar with BU's grading standards?
Thanks,
John
