MBA admission guidance needed

Hi,
I am looking for some guidance on my MBA application.Some university have only one admission essay question such as Georgetown University,McDonough School of Business :"Why you?" .Well basically the SOP that I have created answers this .
So my query is that should should the SOP and the essay be different ?Because even if I write the essay most of the content will be the same as the SOP .Is an SOP really needed for such school? The admission requirement on any university website doesn't states anything about an SOP.

The biggest general difference between a Statement of Purpose essay and "Why you?" is that the "Why you?" implies how do you fit with and benefit our program. So, without seeing your SOP, I couldn't gauge its suitability for McDonough's essay.

Rick,

The classic SoP is usually used for MS/PhD programs and not for MBAs. MBA essay questions tend to be more - both in terms of number and creativity. Some schools do have classical, long questions, but a large number of them have a lot of variety. You should still be able to use 'elements' of the SoP, but not in full most likely.
