What is the last score considered for admission

sir
if i scored 700 last year and am not happy with the score and decide to appear again after 6 months and score 680. If now i decide not to reappear again- will the business school admissions accept my 700 score or will they only take whichever is the last fresh score?

Hey there,

Officially, they will take your highest score (the 700). More realistically, if you have reported both of the scores, they will try to triangulate your actual abilities to be somewhere between 680 - 700. However, they don't report triangulations, they report the highest.

Your 700 counts and stands!

Schools take your highest GMAT score. Some schools like Tuck look at your highest split for each test (https://www.tuck.dartmouth.edu/admissions/admissions-faq).

I have taken the GMAT and/or GRE several times. Which score does the admissions committee consider?
The admissions committee takes into consideration your highest test score. The Tuck application allows students to report up to two GMAT and/or GRE test scores. If you have scored better on one test in the verbal section and better on the other in the quantitative section, we will consider your highest quantitative and highest verbal scores. We will not, however, combine scores from different test to create a new total score. Please refer to Instructions for applicants for more information.
