waitlist - re apply advice needed

Hi i had applied to wp carey in round 2 and got waitlisted.Later i was rejected.I saw people with my profile who applied in round 1 mostly get in .There were lot of waitlists in round 2.I like supply chain managment and iam even thinking of waiting nxt yr and re appplying..Do u all think it is a wise idea to wait nxt yr and apply to carey?
My profile is GMAT -680.
Work exp 5 yrs
1.5 yrs as an assistant manager in a private company and 3.5 yrs in technology consulting including a supply chain project.
Graduate in engineering.Good co- curriculars and community involvement.AN appreciation award from the Cheif information officer of by client too.Please advice

Sounds like you would prefer ASU over BYU, so if you decide to wait, I would try to at least get a deferral from BYU just in case you don't get in as a reapplicant to WP CArey next year. How can you improve your profile will be the major question since you will have to provide some compelling evidence why the past year has changed your profile in some way. Applying first round is preferrable, since as you said, there were folks who got in with similar qualifications. Perhaps simply having an extra year of WE will be enough, particularly if you have some interesting achievements to report. BTW, most scholarships go in the first round, so don't be discouraged about not seeing them in R2.
