Dear Admissions Consultants,

I work for a consulting company, and have been on several engagements. Some of them were very, very high-profile engagements, but toward the beginning of my job where my responsibilities were fewer. I'd like to point them out on my resume, but have a question about which order they should be in.

What is better practice: to show my involvement in chronological order, where it would appear that my responsibilities have increasingly grown on projects (i.e. rather than "Advised on X..." or "helped define" the headers would increasingly begin to read "Developed and led a team" or "Defined X strategy") OR to have my engagements in order of how impressive they are, where it would not be immediately apparent that my responsibilities have increased?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Dear tonytony,

How you list your content under your consulting job should be the way you feel best reflects your accomplishments and contributions. You do not have to list every single engagement you have been on, but rather highlight those that are most impressive and provide detail on your specific contribution.

Good luck,
Lisa
