Hi,
I am an Electrical Engineer from India.I took my GMAT last month and managed to get a score of only 610 ,with 49 in Quants(88%ile) and 25 in Verbal(only 39 %ile).Do you feel I need to retake my GMAT exam?Since I have to apply for the fall-2009 session,do you feel there's enough time for retaking the exam?
Also, can you please guide me as to which schools should I apply at this low score.I wish to pursue my MBA degree from U.S..preferrably Michigan State University(Broad) and Ohio state University(Fisher).I also have 2 years of work experience in the field of Industrial Automation. Will this be an added advantage over my low score?
Please advice.
Best Regards,
Rupali Tripathi

Hi Rupali,
As an Indian IT/Eng applicant, your GMAT score is below the average for your peer group, even for the schools listed. To improve your candidacy, I would strongly recommend retaking the test and shooting for the mid/upper 600s to better position yourself.
