Retake the Gmat

by merengazo3 » Mon Nov 03, 2008 6:55 am
Hi I'm an Engineer in the US. Latino background. I took the Veritas prep course, but did not do so great on the GMAT. 600 score 41 in math 33 on verbal. I will most likely take the test again, but i'm a little stuck as to how to go about this. I can do math, I got all A's on my math classes and I'm an engineer, but the time constraints really stress me. I do have some issues with certain types of problems, so I know more or less what to do to improve my quant score. My main issue is how do I improve my verbal? I'm not a native english speaker, and though I did go to school here in the states, engineers do not get a lot of language classes. I took the prep course which I though was great. How do I improve now? do I take the prep course again? I'm a bit at a loss now...

I want to apply to schools in europe, I don't think my score can get me in any of them...any advice?

Hi M,
Thanks for your post. Sorry to hear about your score. I would strongly recommend you contacting your instructor or Veritas directly, as they will be able to give you better guidance on how to approach and prepare for the GMAT the second time around.

Regards,

N
