Profile evaluation

Dear Lisa,

I was wondering if you take a look over my stats and give me a brief evaluation of it.

- female, 27 yrs
- GPA 3.0 from University of Wales in Int. Business Mgmt (honours degree)
- 4 years of full time work experience in media and entertainment industry in a management position (currently head of licensing and business development of an internet spin-off of a major media conglomerate, employee and budget responsibilty) in Germany
- Fluent in German, English and French, basic knowledge in Spanish and Italian
- as a freelance journalist and TV producer I financed my secondary education
- work experience (inernships) in Corporate Finance
- targeted GMAT score 650-700 (currently scoring around 640)
- targeted Unis: Columbia, Stern, INSEAD

Dear Lisa,

I think you have the foundation for a competitive application and your work experience will be interesting/different. Your GMAT score will, of course, be telling in terms of how competitive you are for your target schools, especially since your 3.0 is on the low side. To be in the best position, you want to be at 680+ (ideally in the 700s). If you do not score that high, I still think it might be worth applying (if you leverage your work experience right) but would encourage you to retake the exam to increase your score.
