Hesitation, where to apply

by tonyilbb » Sun May 27, 2012 10:30 am
Hello,

As I can see, this web site is only focused on studying for master degree. However, in order to apply for an MBA, you must have an undergraduate degree which, therefore, speaks to me that you could be of a great help to me.

I am a Bulgarian student and I very much hesitate where to apply for my undergraduate degree in business. Taking into consideration the fact that maybe all of the registered people here have an undergraduate degree, I believe and hope that you would try to help me choose where to apply for and not to make a mistake. I was considering the following
- University of Bocconi
- University of Leeds
- Warwick University
- University of Manchester
- LSE

I also think about applying for universities in the USA but it seems like me and my family will not be able to afford such costs for education there - something like 30 000 - 50 000 USD per year.

Could you please help me by giving your opinion on the universities listed above, or suggest any other which would give me a good education and opportunities to pursue a good career and a MBA after that?

I would very much thank you if you are able to help me.

Tony

Hi Tony,

Thanks for your post. You certainly do have a challenging decision. I am an MBA admissions expert, and therefore I am not the best person to ask for advice about global collegiate programs, however, I will give you one piece of advise - don't let the cost of the school deter you from applying. Often many schools offer aid in the form of scholarships that you won't be eligible for unless you apply. My advice is apply to your top schools and once in wait for your award letter to determine if you can afford it. You should also apply for schools that you are able to attend with minimum aid so that you will indeed have somewhere to matriculate.

Best,

Stacey
