Hi. I had earlier scheduled my GMAT for 28 June. The plan was that I would get a decent amount of time to prepare my apps for R1. I also had my CFA L1 exam on 3rd June and had very little time left to prepare for the GMAT. Consequently, I have rescheduled my GMAT to 23rd August.

Although I did reschedule it in a just-do-it moment, a doubt still persists in my mind whether I'll be left with enough time to meet the R1 deadlines of my target schools?

I need advice as to how difficult would it be to prepare my best application in that one month considering that I have already started working on the essays and keep jotting down points and events on a day-to-day basis? I have also already approached my recommenders and they have agreed to write my recommendations. When should I take the GMAT to be comfortably placed to work on my apps for the R1's?

Now that I have rescheduled the GMAT, I'm having second thoughts that I should go for a mid-July'ish date. Please advice.

Regards.

Dont worry. There will never be a right answer to this and a right date for GMAT :)

Take it in Aug only and use the time to think about various aspects of your profile, goals and other stuff to be presented in your essays. Talk to your recommenders as well beforehand.

Once you are done with your GMAT devote 15 days each for first 2 apps and then may be a week each for next 2. This will allow you to submit 4 apps by mid october ( Round 1).

Hope this helps.

Well, I have already started working on my essays and I'm jotting down new things about myself and my experiences in my diary almost daily. If I continue this way, meeting R1 deadlines for a majority of my target schools shouldn't be too difficult, I hope. Of course, this is my opinion and I would certainly like to hear what you have to say about this. Thanks.
