Hi,

I have a gmat score of 740. But my AWA is 4.0. I thought i did very well in AWA, but to my surprise I only scored 4.0.
How will this affect my applications. I have devoted lot of time in writing my essays and they are in very good shape. Now will low AWA create a doubt in adcom committe about my essays.
Overall I want to know how will AWA score 4.0 affect my applications, should I consider writing gmat again ?

Thanks !!

Dear priyank12,

In my opinion, I don't think your AWA warrants a GMAT retake. Your 740 is a great score and thus it is probable your total score would be lower on a retake. If your essays are well-written and you do well in your interview, then you will mitigate any potential concern from the AWA.

Good luck,
Lisa
