Hi,
I believe this is an oft-repeated question but I browsed through the profiles of those who've asked this in the past and realised that nobody of my profile has asked a similar question so far (but I could be wrong though).
I took my first attempt at GMAT last weekend and scored only a 640 (Q 48, V28). I was doing marginally better during the mocks but do believe that with a bit more focus on verbal I can do much better. Having said that, I would like to have an understanding of where I stand vis-a-vis admission possibilities considering the fact that GMAT is a qualifying test.
I have 10 years of work experience in various industries - Industrial Automation, Building Automation, System Integration and in various functions - Marketing Communication, Sales and Business Development. In my current company, I have literally set the business division (which I currently lead) up from scratch. I currently lead a team of 3 members.
With regards to qualifications, I am an Electronics Engineering graduate from Nagpur University and have done an MBA in Marketing from ISB&M, Pune. My MBA, because it isn't from a University in India, will not be recognized by institutions in US-Canada/EU/Australia.
I intended to undertake a course in Leadership or International Business from a college in the US. Honestly, I wanted to get past the first hurdle - GMAT and see where I stood before zeroing in on colleges of my choice.
I would appreciate responses in this regard.
Thanks in advance
Best regards,
Nitin
