Profile Evaluation please - Stern Part-time MBA

hi, I am applying for 2013 Spring program.
Please evaluate my chance of getting in.

GMAT 670 (50Q, 30V) AWA 5.0
Background: Asian Female
GPA: Undergraduate 3.02 (or 70s/100) in Chemistry from a non-US university
Graduated 3.49 from an Ivy league school
Work in Pharmaceutical Industry for almost 5 years
should be able to get good recommendation letters

I am not sure if I need to re-take GMAT, my work schedule is crazy most of the time. don't have much time to study.

I am not sure whether my graduate school GPA can make up for my low undergraduate GPA.
I was trying to score 700+, however, I didn't have much time studying , that was actually my second attempt, my first attempt was 49Q/29V, with total score of 650.

Part-time programs have lower GMAT ranges than their full-time counterparts, and given your score, I think you should be okay for Stern part-time. Ideally it should be 700, but you should be okay. In any case, there's nothing you can do about it (unless you want to take it again) other than doing the best you can on the written applications and interview, and hoping that that's good enough. Focus on what is within your control at this point.

I don't mind taking the GMAT again, but just not sure if I will have time to study. As you can see, I have plenty of room for improvement on my verbal. probably not so much for math.

something that I do worry is whether my GPA is too low, does my GPA in graduated school will offset my low undergraduate GPA?

and do the committees care what school applicants from while they are looking at the GPA?

For part-time they are more forgiving about GMATs and GPAs, but they aren't unimportant.

In any case, there's nothing you can do about your GPA or your school, so why worry about things you can't control or change?

I understand that there is nothing I can do to change my undergraduate GPA. But I hope my graduate school GPA can fix something, especially the school that I went is a good one.

If I could get a penny for every applicant who had a strong masters GPA and a poor undergrad GPA...

Honestly, it doesn't fix it. They care about your undergrad GPA the most because it's the easiest way to benchmark you with other applicants (not everyone has a masters degree, and just about *everyone* who did a masters had a stronger if not much stronger GPA than their undergrad GPA).

Again, focus on what you can control: the written application and interview. That's it.
