Indo-German Profile Evaluation please!

by kartheek1986 » Fri Jan 31, 2014 4:28 am
Hello, I would like my profile to be evaluated by an expert.

I am a 28 year old Indian origin German national currently living in the UK.

I have done my Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace engineering, Project and Quality Management) from one of the top Universities in Germany. (grade 1.0-1.7 almost equal to 3.7-4.0 GPA)

Upon finishing my graduation, I have started working in the aviation industry as a Quality Engineer and now working as a Senior Consultant (configuration and supply chain) for Airbus within 6 years. I have managed teams starting from day one and now managing projects worth 10-15M.

In the future, I would like to see myself working in a multinational corporation.

I have planned to take my GMAT in May and wanted to know if my profile would fit the business school I wish to go into.

As I have lived in Europe for almost 10 years and can speak German, French and Spanish fluently, I would am looking for business schools in Europe such as INSEAD, JUDGE, SAID and HEC paris.

Do you think this could be a profile for these schools?

Thanks
Kartheek

Hello Kartheek,

Viewing your profile from the perspective of an INSEADer, I'd definitely say that I can see you as a potential classmate at INSEAD. "Indian origin German national currently living in the UK" stands out to me as a potential INSEAD candidate where students come from 90 over nationalities and many hold dual citizenship. You'll find your ability to speak >3 languages a blessing for your application too!

Your work experience is a match too. Airbus - very reputable MNC, you've managed teams and mid-size projects.

My evaluation is that you have got a good profile that the INSEAD admission office will take a second look. You've gotten your foot in the door. The next thing I want to know is how big are your achievements and how culturally sensitive you are. And most importantly, what have you set your sights on which INSEAD can help you to achieve?

As for your GMAT, target anything above 650 and you'll do alright. Focus on telling your story instead. If you want to be an global leader, then INSEAD is the MBA for you.

Good Luck!

Best,
