Profile Examination for me, thanks!

3.8 GPA Overall GPA from top-3 west coast school
Business Major
720 GMAT (cleared 80/80 hurdle)
2 years at bulge bracket (top 5) I Bank, global experience across asia and america (1 year each)
6 months at bulge bracket P/E before getting laid off
-currently working at a hedge fund (lesser known than previous firm)

-Very active back in college with involvement with a variety of student organizations, plenty of leadership experience there
-Minimal amount of extracurricular while working, but been helping with family business on the side

Hi,

I'd say that your biggest hole right now is your niche. I Bank/Hedge Fund/PE can be a tough background because you have a lot of competition - especially in this current economic climate. To separate yourself you will need something in your application that makes you unique and personable. You'll really want to try to get this out in your essays though a less than tradition story.
