Admissions "prerequisite" on 3rd round

Looks like I'll be in the 3rd out of four rounds for the several schools and 3rd out of three for the rest. (I've got a 3.3 GPA and a 700 GMAT, applying to UCSD, UCI, USC, and SDSU.)

I've encountered a question on the app for Rady (UCSD) that alarmed me. They asked me if i'd completed college-level mathematics (which apparently means a full year of calc.) The answer is no. I'll enroll in calc this semester, but i'm afraid it's too little, too late.

Has anyone else encountered this kind of thing? I could take the second semester over summer, of course, but that's not on the app.

I haven't encountered that specifically, but I had the same problem about children. Do you write as of now or as of the program starts? they ask as of now, but it is an important part of "me".

I solved it with the "other information" essay. Another option for you could be to use it as an example of your abnegation and determination in your essays. It will take just a few lines and you will mention it.

You should ask the admissions committee exactly what they mean instead of stressing over it. The fact that you did so well on the GMAT shows you have intellectual aptitude. Completing calculus prior to the Fall may be sufficient.
