Hello dear accepted.com team -

could you pls evaluate my profile:

- female, 27 yrs old, German origin

academics
- BA (Hons) in International Business Studies from the University of Wales, graduated with a second upper
-GMAT: 610 Q39 V34 (consider retake)

extra curricular
- worked 4 years as TV journalist and producer to finance my studies
- initiated German media award for students with migration background
- internships in management consulting and corporate finance

ft work experience
- 4 years of full-time work experience as Manager in Media conglomerate (TV and Internet) with a strong career upgrade -> started as Controller, then Assistant to a Board Member (special leadership program) and am currently leading the licensing and content department (five employees and budget responibility) of an internet spin-off of my mother company.

Targeted Unis: Columbia, NYU, LBS, INSEAD

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your profile. I’m afraid that the 610 GMAT puts your desired schools out or reach or nearly so. Given the other factors in your profile I believe you’d need a score at least in the upper 600’s, and ideally in the 700 range, to be competitive for those programs.

I suggest doing further preparation and retaking the GMAT, if you believe that further preparation will indeed yield a higher score. If you don’t think you can raise the score, I suggest looking at the next tier of schools but very selectively to find programs that have satisfactory recruiting and academic programs for your needs.
