Hi, Monk,

I think you should expand your list of target schools to include some that are less competitive. With your relatively long years of experience, you definitely want to get in in this year (or next if you're targeting the next admissions cycle). Moreover, because of your demographic/industry group, your GMAT and GPA should be a bit higher than the target program's averages. I would consider all the schools you list to be high reaches given your profile from the information provided, and probably you can use your time better than focusing a lot of time and energy on applying to HBS and Stanford, or at least making them priorities. I'd suggest targeting schools also in the level of Darden, Anderson, Duke, Cornell, etc. - there are many outstanding programs at this level and with research I'm sure you can find some that meet your needs.

To differentiate and distinguish yourself, I suggest zeroing in on specific areas (industries, functions, etc.), and showng insight and growth through anecdote. (a) You imply your career has been one of rapid advancement - highlight that fact and show how you've grown from it. (b) Advising your family business sounds interesting - perhaps discuss that, clarifying the growth/insight you've gained that's relevant to your goals. (c) Provide insights and growth from leading teams and handling specific accounts/customers-perhaps discuss learning about those industries/functions/regions. (d) Discuss your extracurricular involvements if you have some engaging ancedotes and/or leadership.
