question regarding admission decisions???

by pacogzza » Mon Jan 24, 2011 10:18 am
Can any anybody share their experience on admission decisions???

I have applied to Stanford, UT Austin, NYU, and Babson College on 2nd round and I would like to know:

How long does someone has to wait (more less) to hear from the admission board to get an invitation to interview???

Does every school interviews their candidates before they are accepted???

Thank you for you comments and experiences...

Good luck to everyone who has applied this season!!!

All best

Most schools will note on their websites whether they interview all candidates or not. Generally, if you are going to be asked to interview, it will be several weeks before the acceptances are scheduled to go out.

Good luck,

Use this year as a guidelines. Harvar'd R2 deadline was on Jan 11 and it started releasing the interview invite on Feb and will go on till Feb 16th. This is not a hard or fast rule but schools usually take 20-25 days after the round deadlines to read the applications and relase the invites.

For all practical purpose, you can consider that every accepted student is interviewed.

which is not the same as "every interviewee is accepted". It is as important to prep for an interview as it is to prep for the GMAT.
