Plz evaluate my profile

I am a 27 yr old male with a non engineering background. I am keen to pursue a masters in finance program.

Target GMAT score – between 680-720
SDA Bocconi
Instituto de Empressa
Cass business school
Warwick
Rotterdam Business School
HEC
Cranfield
LSE

Now my primary concern is I have a low GPA ( approximately 3 at max) in my undergrads and a missed year ( I frankly admit I lost focus in my college days ) and a number of C and D s in my post grad. Considering my age and inconsistency in academic achievement is it feasible to get into the list of universities I have shortlisted. Please share your view how I can make my profile more competitive.

Education
B.Com from Calcutta University( 53% aggregate)
MS finance from Icfai School of financial studies (CGPA- 6.8)
Cleared CFA level 1
Have a few certifications relating to Indian stock markets- NCFM (Derivatives), NCFM (Capital markets)

I am planning to take CAIA and FRM exams and show it as an academic achievement and prove my quantitative skills.

Dear Avik,

The best way to mitigate your GPA is to do well on your GMAT. I think if you can score in the 700s, then you will be in a competitive position for your target list. However, you will not be admitted based on GMAT and GPA alone. You must also do a good job of conveying your rationale for business school and making a compelling case for admission. If you can, you should try to visit some of your schools and meet with representatives that come to India. Finally, you might want to seek out some extracurricular activities that you can write about in your essays, especially if your leadership experience is minimal. Taking on a leadership role with a community organization can demonstrate the leadership potential that all business schools look for in applicants.

Good luck,
Lisa
