where do you tell adcom what you do?

So, I'm ear deep in applications at this point (gunning for round 1), and have heard all through the process that your resume is not where you're supposed to tell them what you do, but where you're supposed to show off your accomplishments and big picture strengths.

So, I included some description of what I actually do (since I don't think it's obvious in my job title--Business Analysts can do a huge range of things, and I don't work in consulting or finance, so it isn't obvious) in one of my essays in the part that asks to tell about what you've done so far that will make you successful, but I just got some feedback from a consultant saying that I shouldn't talk about what I do in my job because they'll have seen that in my resume! Well, I took that out of my resume, so they won't find it there. Where do I include this piece??

You should be able to convey what you do within your accomplishments on your resume. You had to do something to have any achievements, right?
