MBA after MS

I would like to know whether the following is a good career choice.

I am currently in my final year of engineering. I would be applying for MS in material science in fall 2014. I have also given my Gmat on 7th feb 2013. i was thinking of doing the MS for 2 years , then take up a technical job for 2 years, and then apply for MBA. Is there a chance of getting selected in the top 10 colleges?. Is this a good choice?

I am doing MS nw because I have interest in research , but I know for a fact that Phd would be a little too much for me.

You can for sure apply for an MBA with an MS with no problem. It can even be good as it can advance you in your career. Two years though is likely too little work experience. Most MBA applicants have 4-5 years experience, and you should take that into consideration as you think about applying (keep in mind too that the GMAT score is good for 5 years only).
