Please evaluate my MBA chances

Hello all,

I am about to start my the application process to begin b-school August 2010, and would appreciate any opinions on my chances.

Age 24
GMAT : 730
AWA : 6.0
Undergrad GPA : 3.60 (Business Management) from a highly reputable school
Work experience : 1.5 years as a business relationship manager at large commercial bank. 1.0 years as a Financial Advisor at a Fortune 50 firm. Life/Health Insurance and Series 7 certified.
Letters of Rec from former supervisor and large client.
Very involved with Management Department throughout college, as well as Fraternity Treasurer.
Currently doing some volunteer work, but looking to increase in this area.

I am looking at Wharton, UC Berkeley, UCLA, NYU, and UVA. Also considering USC.

Thank you very much for your time. Please let me know if any additional information is needed, and I would greatly appreciate any opinions that you may have.

Hi,

- Your GMAT score is good for the schools you are targeting

- GPA is a little bit on the lower side, especially for schools like Wharton. OF course its not bad, but its not comfortable placed.

- Work experience seems good

- Your extra currics don't seem too solid. They are good but seem quite 'normal'

In our opinion you would have a pretty good shot at all the schools, except maybe Wharton. Again, as we keep stressing, this doesn't mean that we discourage you not to apply there. Your stats are good, but there's 'something' missing.
