Please I need know if the steps that i am taking are fine.I had a very low GPA in my undergrad study.I read Mecahnical Engineeering. However I have very lofty plans of applying to top tier US MBA programs as the very few fellowships/scholarships in Africa and for Africans are earmarked for these schools.In order to ameliorate the damage of my dismissal GPA I am targeting a minimum GMAT score of 750. Secondly I am trying to build an alternative supplementary transcript.The only viable and available option is enrolling for a post graduate diploma (PGD) program in business administration at my nation's open University.I am targeting an A average for all the courses.
I want to know if these steps can help turn my predicament around.If not,what else should i do to compensate for the academic lapse. Furthermore I am also wondering if i should just opt for only the analytic courses offered in the PGD program.
