With regards to how you should address you low GPA, I recommend you read this case study of a candidate with a low GPA who was accepted into both Columbia and Chicago Booth:

You have a strong candidacy for those schools, but your personal essays and letters of recommendations are going to be critical. Business schools will want to see that you have leadership experience and that you will be able to add value to an incoming class.
