A low Gmat score. Should I still go ahead and apply?

Hi there,
Well after over 6 months of hard core preparation I bombed the exam today with a 570 ( 49Q, 20V). I was shell shocked looking at this as I had never gone below the 650 range in any of my mock tests. Even in the GMAT PREP1 and 2 I managed a 660. I am targeting Kelley,Rice,Marshall, Foster and Smeal. I am a production engineer who worked for 4 years in the field of marketing. I have done my undergrad from a good university in India. Besides that I was a top scorer throughout school and college. Please help

Hi Biji,
Yes, you'll want to take the GMAT again and hold off on applying with that score. It's relatively unbalanced, and I'm sure you can do better on the verbal section than you did here. Often your scores will get better simply by having the experience of taking the application in "real time". If you're still having trouble after taking it again, you may want to work one-on-one with a GMAT specialist on time-management, which is usually the culprit in these kinds of situations.
