Do you have a good reason to pursue an MBA? If so, it might not be much of an issue.

Unfortunately, I think you will have a very difficult time gaining acceptance to an MBA program without significant work experience. If you worked throughout college and can prove that you have the business acumen necessary to enrich the classroom experience of others, you may have a shot, but, it is still a challenge. And, your projected GMAT score will also be a road block. Most business school programs have an 80% range of about 650-700.

I might suggest that you take a business course (or two) in the evenings or on the weekend while you continue to work. If your grades are strong in these courses, it will improve your chances to be admitted. The work experience will also help. And, remember, you need letters of recommendation from those who know you "professionally" - these letters are much more credible if the person has worked with you for a signficiant time period.

If I were you, I'd wait a few years to go back to school and spend the time working on improving your candidacy.

Dear,

With 550 -600 GMAT,AND GPA 3.6, I do not think you will have problem in getting into Hofstra Business School.

I just double checked the admissions stats and the average GMAT is 532 so it looks like you are in good shape with your basic statistics. I might still consider working another year and trying for a more competitive program, but, I agree with the earlier poster that (as long as you tell a compelling story) you should have a good shot at getting accepted to Hofstra.

Good Luck!
