Hi,
I just completed my GMAT today and scored a 720 (Q46, V42). I am looking to apply to top tier U.S. schools (Stanford, Kellogg, etc.) as well as some top-tier international schools (LBS, INSEAD.) Do I have what it takes, or are my dreams more pie-in-the-sky than realistic goals?
Here's a rough overview of my profile.
EDUCATION
Top 5 Canadian University - Business Undergrad - GPA 79% or B+
GMAT: 720 (as of today)
WORK EXPERIENCE
3 years in M&A for a large Canadian technology company; my role has included strategy and valuation, but I believe the more valuable part is that I have been involved in the 'nitty gritty' of running businesses and I have held leadership roles at 2 different software companies that we've acquired.
Solid work references.
VOLUNTEER - Post Undergrad
Pro Bono Consulting
Board Member for a non-profit based in Toronto that provides mentorship to at-risk youth
VOLUNTEER - During Undergrad
A variety of activities - not sure if this is relevant anymore?
