Hi Geek! (love the screenname BTW!)

The basic "stats" of your profile - GMAT, GPA, work experience - are definitely in line for what Wharton is looking for. Basically, the door is open to you and you are "qualified" to apply.

Now the real work begins: Crafting essays in a way that convinces them that you're the person that really belongs there!

A very important aspect of an application to Wharton and many other schools is the career goals. You need to express to the adcom why you need an MBA, based on what you want to do with it - and especially, why you want to go to Wharton for your graduate education. Then, you need to give them enough evidence of how awesome you have been in the past, in terms of leadership and impact and bringing results to others, that they are suitably impressed by your profile and they feel that you'd make a good contribution to the Wharton community during bschool and beyond.

Basically what we're sayin' is, ya gotta have good essays. :-)

It's impossible to answer the "what are my chances?" question without knowing a lot more about your profile. We actually wrote an article about exactly this on our blog:

https://essaysnark.blocked/2010/07/ ... es-at.html

What we can say is that you have the essential qualifications down, with your GMAT/GPA, and your work experience is in range for what Wharton accepts. So, the door is wide open to you! Of course, the vast majority of applicants to Wharton are considered "qualified" and if you're coming from an IT background in India, as it sounds you are, then you're up against the challenge of all the other people "like you" applying - you need to work hard to showcase the unique aspects of your background and your strengths in order to stand out from the crowd.

This answer probably wasn't very satisfying, but it's the best we can do. If you have other questions we can help with, just let us know!

Geez. Who knows? The GMAT is good, as are the grades. But it depends on like a MILLION other things - from your success, to your promotions, to your leadership, to your community service and extra curricular, to your industry and, and your goals.

It's not really possible to evaluate your profile, unless you give it! :)

What they said.

But seriously you need to determine a wider swatch of target schools based on numerous factors that include reputation, size, location, environment, pedagogy, exchange programs, career placement, student body, alumni, facilities, etc.

You might wish to avail yourself of the different admissions consultants offering free assessments to gain some clarity at a high level.

Good luck,
