Hello,

From the information you provided I believe you would be a viable candidate for the programs you mention. However, you left out one important element: your goals. To be truly competitive you must articulate goals that are appropriate ambitious but achievable and that make sense in light of your experience. You also should be prepared to discuss how the specific programs will help you fill your knowledge gaps for those goals.

I do see one challenge even though you appear to be a viable candidate. You state correctly that your resume has a lot of variety – but that variety not good or bad on its face. It can be positive if you weave it into a coherent story. It can be bad otherwise by making you appear unfocused and indecisive, drifting here and there as the current inclination or situation arises. The adcoms want to see focus and drive – and that implies toward something…. Your essays will be the place to turn this variety into a coherent story – ideally one that connects to your defined career goals.
