by IshanD » Sun May 27, 2012 11:48 pm
Hi,

This is Ishan.

Recently I came to know about 2+2 program provided by Harvard Business School for people from technical background. I am planning to go for MBA from a reputed college but don't know whether my profile is suitable for applying to such a prestigious college in the world. Please suggest if I can think about planning to HBS given my following profile,

School education -->>
SSC - 82%(Scale of 100)
HSC - 75%(Scale of 100)

Undergrad education -->>
BE(Computer Science & Engineering) -->> 78.67% (Scale of 100)

Work Experience -->>
1. Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) as Software Engineer --
I worked with a client, a South African based telecom provider Neotel, on a project which was concentrated on incorporating new services and enhancements in the existing stack of services as per the client requirement. I worked at TCS for a period of 2 years.
I worked on technologies like Java/J2EE, Struts & SQL. Also, during brief stint at TCS, I got an opportunity to work as Technical Lead for a small team of 4 people and also as a deployment manager responsible for smooth deployment of products(or services) and CRs in a production environment.

2. Oracle Financial Services(OFS) as Assistant Technical Analyst --
Currently working at OFS, I am working on a project which gives support for retail banking division of Flexcube product(flagship product of OFS) installed at various banks and financial institutions across the world.

Scores of Standardized Tests -->>

GRE -- 1290(Quants - 780, Verbal - 510, AWA - 3.0)
TOEFL -- 110

Other details -->>

1. I was a Table Tennis player during my school time and represented my school at cluster level.
2. I took part in Australian Chemistry Quiz and secured Higer Distinction level during my High school.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Best Regards,
Ishan D
