Undergrad: B.S. Mechanical Engineering, India GPA - 71/100 (1st in class of 60)
Grad: M.S. Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Tier 1 US school. GPA - 3.6 Deans Scholarship

Total 8 yrs experience (Manufacturing / Operations)
5 years Entrepreneurship - Turned around and sold businesses.
Incorporated and sold Engineering Consulting company.
plus
1 year with automotive supplier as an Engineer
1 years with one of the Big 3 Automotive manufacturer as Manager.

Presently working for a Fortune 100 company as Operations Manager (promoted within last 1year).

Looking VERY good. If your entrepreneurial business was of a decent size, it will be even better. Just write the best essays you can and apply. And to any other relevant EMBA/PT program. Looks like you have a great background.

I think you have a solid case for those programs, and would encourage you to be transparent about the size of the company you built and sold during those five years. Employees, revenue growth, profit, exit sale....all of these metrics will help the admissions folks get more comfortable about how you spent your time and how you will be able to contribute to class. Your recs will also be key and consider getting one from a major client or partner to balance out one from your current employer.
