Round 3 schools

by psyborg » Sat Feb 21, 2009 5:20 am
Hey Lisa,

I have scheduled to take the Gmat exam the second time on March 2. I was wondering which schools would be best to apply for the third round. This may sound very abstract but I have my application ready and all set to go for Rochester-Simon, Boston Univ and Carnegie Mellon.

I can work around with the essays I have already written to match the schools that I would consider applying to apart from the above three.

Would it be wise to apply to Carnegie Mellon if I do well in my GMAT? or its kind of tough in the final round

I was thinking of Ohio-Fisher, USC-Marshall, Thunderbird
Could you recommend some schools which I can apply to for the final round

Thanks

Dear psyborg,

Third round admissions is tough at any program, especially those that are ranked. I would advise you to pick the schools you feel are the strongest match for what you want to do and where your GMAT is significantly above the school's average. Those will be the best prospective schools for you.

Best of luck,
Lisa
