piku9290,

Thanks for your post.

Your extensive management experience in a manufacturing setting should be a strong advantage to help differentiate you from the other Indian applicants with an engineering degree. I suggest emphasizing your leadership experiences in your essays and resume. In addition, your community and extracurricular experience can be used to develop greater interest in your candidacy.

Your target schools appear to be on track. Penn State, Purdue, and Michigan State are all included on US News & World Report's List of Best Production / Operations MBA programs. Penn State is #17, Purdue is #7, and Michigan State is #14. With strong application materials you should be competitive at each of these schools. Michigan State, Arizona State, and Penn State are also on the list of the Best Supply Chain MBA programs.

The one school which seems out of place is Texas A&M Mays. I suggest considering swapping it out for Indiana University Kelley. Kelley has strong Operations and Supply Chain programs and can make a case for being a top 20 US business school.

Good luck!

Best,
Heidi
