I was born in Brazil, but my family comes from Portugal, and I have dual citizenship: Brazilian and Portuguese.

Is there any difference in my admittance or scholarships chances between my two citizenships? i.e. Do I have more chances to get a scholarship if I choose to use my Brazilian or my Portuguese citizenship while applying? Or having both would have me made more interesting in the applicant pool?

Thanks,

Filipe

Not unless you are applying to European programs, which would be very happy that you already have the abilities to work. In general, I think the Portuguese nationality is a bit more exotic. I see quite a few Brazilian candidates, but very very few Portuguese.

Whatever the case, write both nationalities in your application.

You will have a place to list dual citizenship on the application. One factor in favor of listing Brazil as the main country of origin is that Latin American GMAT scores tend to be lower than average GMAT scores from Western Europe.
