Dear Consultant,

Here are my credentials:

GMAT: First attempt-- 640 V 35 Q 42
Second attempt-- 650 V35 Q 45 ---new gmat

I have an experiece of 3.5 years( 4.5 once i start my course) in Consumer Electronics. My skills revolve around the areas of Sales, Account Management, Logistics and Marketing.

I currently work for a Multinational Company that is a leader in high end consumer electronics. I have a proven track record as far as exceeding my revenue goals are concerned, as a result of which i have been sent to the US multiple times.

I have recently been promoted to a new role that requires Account Managing,Logistics and Marketing skills. In a way, something similiar to an Enterprise Manager.

As far as extra curriculars are concerned, i play the guitar and i was a part of a Rock band at College. I was also a part of AIESEC, a student body that promotes leadership and cultural exchange. In addition, i am also a certified Six Sigma Yellow belt professional.

I plan to pursue an MBA in Business Consultancy/General Management/Strategic Management.

I would like to know my chances at getting admission at a reputed MBA college in the US. I Look forward to your suggestions/ opinions!

Hi Aditya,

Your profile looks really good. Few candidates from India with this kind of profile apply and hence you will be able to differentiate yourself.

Extra currics also look decent.

Your GMAT score is a bit weak.

Top 10 schools in US will be more than stretch. So, would recommend leaving them.

Rank 10-15 schools such as Darden, Cornell, UNC might also be tough but a lot can depend on the essays and app. Your best shot will be schools from rank 15-25 such as Emory, Mccombs, Marshall , Kelley, Ohio. You can narrow down schools on the basis of your post MBA goals.

Hi aditya.j,

Your GMAT score is on the lower side esp the quant. I am not sure about your GPA and undergrad degree. A moderate GPA coupled with this GMAT score may be a spoiler.
