Inequalities

Anyone know how to solve this one?

Which inequality represents the expression bellow:
-2 < x < 12

a) x - 10 < 2
b) x-5 < 7
c) x-7 < 5
d) x -2 < 10
e) None of the above.

I'm assuming that you are missing some absolute value signs. Is that correct?

You'll see that the correct answer is [spoiler]B) |x - 5| < 7[/spoiler]
