If the sum of the digits of the positive two-digit number x is 4, what is the value of x?

(1) x is odd.

(2) Twice the value of x is less than 44.

Possible numbers that meet the requirements above:
13
31
22
40

(a) x is odd. From the numbers listed above, x could be either 13 or 31. Insufficient.

(b) 2x < 44 --> x < 22. From the numbers listed above, only one value meets the criteria -13 (i.e. x < 22). Sufficient.

Ans B.
