The question is asking which of the options must be less than 1.

Note: The value of r ranges from 0.1 to 0.9 & value of s ranges from 1.1 to 1.9

I - Dividing r by s will result in a fraction that is less than 1. So, this statement is sufficient.

II - Mutliplying the value of r & s will give mixed results. Multiplying 1.1 & 0.1 will results in 0.11 which is less than 1, but multiplying 1.9 & 0.9, will results in 1.71, which is greater than 1. So, this is a not a must condition.

III - This is also not a must condition. Subtract the extremes, 1.9 - 0.1 & the value is more than 1, while subtracting 1.1 - 0.9 will result in a value less than 1.

Hence, answer should be A.

Damn !!! :evil: I was in a hurry to solve it in under a min & got all my fractions wrong.
