I ordered my guides and review books online. They haven't come in yet, so I haven't started learning/relearning my math skills. I came across this problem and can't solve it. Anyone want to give me some help please? Thanks!

If 5^11 x 4^5 = 5 x 10^k, k=?

Hi,
5^11 x 4^5 = 5^11 x (2^2)^5 = 5^11 x 2^10 = 5*(5*2)^10 = 5*10^10
5*10^10 = 5*10^k
So, k = 10

If 5^11 x 4^5 = 5 x 10^k, k=?

5^11 x 2^10 = 5 x 10^k

5 * 5^10 * 2^10 = 5 * 10^k

10^10 = 10^k

k = 10
