OG-13, I need some help!

by NaimaB » Fri Sep 19, 2014 9:32 am
I am following the 60 day study guide and I am on Day 13. I am recording my OG 13 answers in the improvement chart and getting depressed day by day. I have attached the Excel file with this post and seek guidance for improvement. I am reviewing all the necessary concepts before starting the maths practice but it seems that the questions are much harder than what is explained in the simple concepts.

Moreover, there are many explanations of maths which I am not understanding. I am following the Manhattan Guide 5th edition. The techniques Manhattan uses to solve certain problems are very different from the OG explanations. Maths where answer choices contain variables, Manhattan suggests to use picking number strategies but the solution given in OG are by using the variables itself which seems very confusing to me. Can anyone help me with easy and quick solutions of the below problems?:
177
198
199

I need some motivation to boost myself up. I tried to study GMAT before as well but every time i dropped off in the middle for some reason. This time I am adamant to complete the test within 1st week of December with desired score (650+)as I am planning to apply for Fall 15 semester, but my improvement chart is very depressive :(

Hi NaimaB,

The various questions that you've put into this post should probably be broken up into several posts.

If you have specific questions about the 60-Day plan, you can ask them in the following Forum:
https://www.beatthegmat.com/the-60-day-g ... e-f60.html

When posting OG questions, you should physically post ONE question per topic (so with 3 questions, you should have 3 different posts) and either transcribe the question or add the image to your post. Expecting the Experts and Users to dig up the question and transcribe it for you is discourteous.

Hi NaimaB,

Apologies are not necessary; I don't think that anyone here took any real offense.

The reason why you should post just one GMAT question per thread is so that the conversation will stay focused on that one prompt. By posting several prompts in one thread, there's a greater chance of criss-crossing discussions about any of the prompts (and that could become confusing).

So just post one prompt per thread (don't forget to include the answer choices) and I think that you'll be pleased with the explanations and insights that the Experts and Users will offer.
