Hi Folks..

Two General Questiosn

1) Does the GMAT consider zero to be an interger. I have read some books saying No and then I did a problem last night where the answer guide included 0 as a possible answer when the question asked for intergers only? I don't have the exact question as I am slaving away at work and my books are at home but but the question was one of the easier questions in the OG. Anyways, my question is, if the GMAT is asking for ' how many interegers etc...." then should I factor 0 into the answer or leave zero out?

2) When you write the GMAT, are you supplied with a scrap booklet or do you bring your own?

Good morning. In regards to your first question, 0 is in fact an integer. If you run across a question that says x is an integer then you should keep in mind that 0 is a possible value for x.

Although I haven't taken the gmat yet, I do know that the gmat testing centers hand out a dry erase notebook that serves as your "scrap paper" during the test.

Yes 0 is considered an integer. However it is neither positive nor negative.
2) When you write the GMAT, are you supplied with a scrap booklet or do you bring your own?


Yes you will be given a scrap book and a pen. You are not allowed to take anything (even your watch) inside the test room.
