For every dollar Jim earns, Joan earns $1.5 and for every two dollars Joan
earns, Sam earns $1.6. If Sam earned $300, how much did Jim earn?

Jim: Joan 1 : 1.5

Joan: Sam 2: 1.6

common ratio Jim:Jo:Sam 2*1 : 1.5 *2 : 1.6 *1.5

2:3:2.4
x:..:300

x= 300 *2 /2.4 = 250
