GMATPrep Question Doubt

Hi all,

I just took my first GMATPrep test to check my baseline score. I have got a few questions wrong and would like to know explainations for wrong ones and better explanations/alternatives for the correct ones too.

So I would like to ask the mods that should i ask all questions in one topic or I create individual posts for each question in their respective sections?

Also, I have taken the screen shots of the questions and will be attaching the same for asking the doubts. Is that ok?

Also, the query I have about the question in the image posted above is as follows:

They have given two functions. One for even and one for odd.

Now they are asking for an equivalent answer to 9*6, which according to me should be solve individually for 9 and 6 and then multiply both's answers to get the final answer.

And GMAT has multiplied both the numbers and finally applied the function on that.

Honestly, I really feel there is some ambiguity in this question. Please clarify.

Thank you so much. After seeing your explanation, thats when i realized that the answers are also in expressions and not numbers. So apparently, 81 is funtion(27).

Anyways got it now. Thank you so much. :)
