In Committe A there are 8 people and in committe B , there are 7 people. There are 3 people who are in both of committees. Find the number of people who are only working in one of the groups.

Only A + only B

Only A = A - both = 8-3 = 5
Only B = B - Both = 7-3 = 4

5+4 = 9

Hope this helps.
