A square and an equilateral triangle have the same area. What is the ratio of the perimeter of the square to the perimeter of the triangle?
Let the area of square be 25, area of the triangle will also be 25.

Area of Square

side^2 = 25, side = 5

Area of equilateral Triangle

(sqrt 3 * Side^2)/4 = 25

side = sqrt [100/sqrt3] => 10/4th root 3

Perimeter of square

4*5 = 20

Perimeter of Triangle

3*10/4th root 3 = 30/ 4th root 3

Ratio = 20 : 30 /4th root 3

2 4th root 3: 3

Whats the OA?

My answer is also 2 4th root3 :3

area of asquare= area of equvilateral triangle

S^2 = sq rt3/4 a^2

a = 2S/4th root 3

perimeter od square -= perimeter of triangle

4S= 3* 2S/4th root 3

= 2 4th root3 :3
