Did you mean (4 - x)/(2 + x) = x ? If so, then:

(4 - x) = x(2 + x) => 4 - x = 2x + x^2 => x^2 + 3x - 4 = 0

Choose option 3.

One thing to note overhere is that do not go ahead and start factorizing the eqn to find the roots.

Given that (4-x)/(2+x)=x gives x^2+3x-4=0
STOP --> This is the answer i.e. "Zero"

If you get ahead and factorize x^2+3x-4=0, you will get x=1 or x=-4 as roots.
To confuse you, both of the above roots are a part of the options.

Hence Zero (Option 3) is the answer.
