Data Sufficiency Question

Hi,

Please find the screenshot of the question attached (DS_Question.docx).

I select the answer as A, however correct answer is E.
I agree that Statement 2 is Insufficient, but how is A insufficient.

Reason for A is Insufficient is, "we dont know how many and which cars Tony's sold last year,so we dont know how many will remain in the lot at the end of the year", But "car sales" is not mentioned in the question, so how can we take such assumption.

Please correct me if I am wrong. Can someone please help.
