If n and k are positive integers, is sq rt n+k > 2 sq rt n?

1) k >3n

2) n + k > 3n

OA is A.......No where to start....Please advise.

Square both sides of the question stem whenever u see roots on left hand side and right hand side

is sqrt(n+k) > 2 sqrt(n)

Is n+k>4n
Is k>3n

the question simplifies to Is k> 3n

Stmt I

There's our answer

Stmt II

n+k > 3n

k>2n

INSUFF (dont know if k > 3n)

Choose A)
